FAQs

Q: How do you handle estate sales?

To keep your belongings and home secure, and maximize the exposure of your sale we host online auctions during an agreed upon time window. All of our estate sales are hosted online only. Our online auctions make it easy and stress-free to sell your belongings. We know not every situation is the same, so please reach out as we’re here to help based on your specific needs!

Q: How does an online auction work?

At Lagom North we will catalog and photograph your items after staging them to look their best and grouped into lots. These lots will then be posted on an online auction site. Once the auction is live, it will be advertised and available for buyers to bid on. The auction is set for a specific time limit, and once the auction ends, the highest bidder wins the item and pays for it. At that point, we will schedule for the pick up of their winning items during a day which the Lagom North team will be at your property to close out the sale.

Q: How to you charge for services?

We offer a variety of package options to help you accomplish your goals. We are up front regarding our fees and are happy to go over your options to find a package that works best for your specific needs.

Q: What happens if my items do not sell?

If any items do not sell, you and your family will have the choice to have any unsold items returned to you or donated to a local charity on your behalf.

Q: What should I expect at our first meeting?

Our first meeting we will go over your goals for your estate sale, evaluate your belongings and discuss next steps in the process. At that time, should you decide to partner with Lagom North, we will go over the contract and schedule your sale timeline.

Q: Is there a charge for the initial consultation?

Not at all, we offer a complimentary consultation with no obligation. We want you to be confident you made the right choice to team up with Lagom North.

Q: My family members and I would like to keep certain contents of the estate. How should we handle this?

What you choose to put into the sale is at your discretion. It is always your choice to withhold any sentimental items. Should you wish to keep anything out of the sale, just pull it aside and it will be excluded.
